Aging is an inevitable, natural process that everyone has to go through in life. There is neither excuses nor ways on how to stop the time from ticking and dragging our ages along with us. It’s quite sad actually, come to think of it but in movies there’s the end, in life there’s death.
We might never know when we’ll die, but what we know is, we’re alive today. What better way is there to being alive than to celebrate it. Of course when we talk about celebration, its natural to think about the booze and the music or maybe some confetti flying around. However, we need to also think about how can we slow down the process of aging, although not literally holding up our age, but to embrace it and enjoy every minute of it.
There are some ways of how we can cheat on life to make it believe that we’re still young and life is not going to bring us down. One of the important things to do is, thinking.
The mind is just so special, like, have you ever just sat down somewhere, and do nothing but think about things all day long? Aren’t you amazed by how much thought you actually have? Sure it can be a balanced mixture of good and bad thoughts or it might be imbalanced. Ultimately though, you need to remember that, no matter what happens, happy good thoughts help you to age smoothly and gracefully because it creates the feeling of appreciation and acceptance of life as you know it.
Proper dieting is one of the contributing factors to give your life the natural, non-accelerated aging process. Healthy diet doesn’t mean eating very little or eating everything green. We’re talking about eating moderately in terms of portion and time of the day. It is also important to watch the amount of calorie and other minerals and nutrients intake with every meal, which will be able to help give a balance diet.
Sleeping enough is one of the easiest and probably the most fun trick to age smoothly and gracefully. Sleeping enough doesn’t necessarily mean sleeping all the way up to 10 – 12 hours. Sleeping enough doesn’t also mean make up for the amount of hours you were awake. The average sleeping hours a person needs is about 8 hours. The hours for sleeping is one thing, the time that you get to sleep is another. Especially for youngsters who’d spent time out with friends till the wee hours of the night. Sure we all need to let our hair down once in a while and have a party. But remember to not do it too often, as it will affect the productivity and aging process.
Plus when you hang out late, let’s say partying, the normal thing to do is usually have some alcohol and cigarettes (for some, not all). These two things can actually contribute to the bad process of aging. Also mom always said, “Nothing good can come up after midnight.” She’s right for sure, cause she’s mom.
So hopefully you’ll learn a thing or two about aging smoothly and gracefully. But you need to remember; we’re not obsessing about not growing old or eternal youth, rather to simply embrace life as much as possible. So go live life, but don’t forget to take care of yourself.
